Who is Geelong Critical Care?
A collaborative group of healthcare workers committed to providing high quality, compassionate care for critically unwell patients in South Western Victoria.
Based at University Hospital Geelong, our Intensive Care Unit is a 24-bed Level III adult mixed medical, surgical, and cardiothoracic ICU, as well as a Level II paediatric ICU. We serve patients who are seriously ill or recovering from major surgery, providing specialised, patient-centred care around the clock.
Our senior medical staff are all Fellows of the College of Intensive Care Medicine (FCICM), with special interests spanning a wide variety of clinical and non-clinical portfolios. The ICU also supports registrars and residents rotating through the unit from specialities including emergency medicine, general medicine, and anaesthesia.
